How does a rummy tournament start?

Seats

The total number of seats of a rummy tournament depends on the number of players who are joining the game. Each table has the maximum capacity to accommodate up to 6 players. You will be seated across multiple tables and will be allocated with a fixed number of tournament chips. The winner of the game will win the rummy tournament chips from the losing players according to the points scored by them.

Gameplay

Each player gets 30 seconds to complete his/her move during the turn. If any player does not complete the move within the allocated time, the game will continue and the turn will pass to the next opponent. In case, the player missed three consecutive turn, he/she will be dropped with the score of a middle drop. A player can finish the game like the normal procedure; a card has to be discarded in the finish slot and other players have to declare the cards within the fixed time.

Game Progression

When the fixed number of deals is over, players will be assigned ranks in accordance to the count of the chips. The player with the highest count of chips gets the highest rank and in case of tie, the players will have to play for a tiebreaker game to end the tie. The player with the highest count of chips proceeds to the next round to compete with winners from other tables. For example, if the rummy tournament is taking place on 12 tables with 6 players on each table, then 12 winners from 12 tables will proceed to the next level to compete with each other.
